Firefox 4 as default browser?

I have used Firefox 4 beta on Fedora 13 for last couple of weeks and it is faster than Firefox 3.6 and really stable.

That is why I’m thinking about removing Firefox 3.6 and making Firefox 4 default browser for Fusion Linux Fedora Remix.

Are there some big caveats that I should be aware of? Would you support this idea? Why?

    Hi There

I think Firefox should always be the default Linux web browser !!
FFX 4 beta or release seems powerfull

    Hi,
well, FF 4 is still beta and most of the extensions (which I use as webdeveloper) are still unsupported/not yet compatible. Maybe you should wait for the final release?!

Jan, the extensions are compatible, you just need to override the compatibility check by installing the Compatibility Reporter extension. Then you can enable the extensions and report back to the developer if it works on FFx 4 or if it doesn’t, what doesn’t particularly work.

So far, all the extensions I use work, and I’m a web dev too.

Is it possible to include the compatibility reporter in the default install? That way, users don’t have to worry about their favorite extensions not working.
